OnePlus CEO Pete Lau teases OnePlus 7 5G phone launch

 CEO Pete Lau has officially shared the first teaser of the "next product" on Twitter, which is most likely the flagship 
OnePlus 7
 range of smartphones. The small GIF file attachment on Lau’s tweet provides a glimpse of the device in the background and 'Fast and' written on it. It is being speculated that these three dots relates to the three phones-- OnePlus 7, 
OnePlus 7 Pro
 and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G -- that were reported earlier. Given his emphasis on 'smooth' the 5G variant of upcoming smartphone is quite likely.

OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G: What we know so far

The alleged OnePlus 7 Pro has been spotted on Chinese microblogging website Weibo. From the images, one can see that the upcoming handset will come with a dual curved screen, with no notch on the top. In the 'about phone' section certain key specifications such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, triple rear camera setup comprising 48+16+8 MP camera sensors, 6.67-inch display have been revealed. Showing the model number GM1915, the handset is seen to be running on Android 9.0 Pie operating system.

Tipster Ishan Agarwal has also claimed that there is going to be 5G variant of the alleged OnePlus 7 Pro (model number GM 1920) and also confirmed that the company will launch the Pro variant of OnePlus 7 (model number GM1911) in India. Agarwal has also confirmed the launch of the OnePlus 7 series in May along with sharing the tagline of the OnePlus 7 Pro as "Go Beyond Speed
